For their one year anniversary, Terminus Wake Park decided to celebrate by giving back to the community with a grassroots fundraiser that is sure to become one of their flagship events each year! On September 27th, the first annual Wake For A Cause was a success as riders from around the region gathered to compete for a “winner-gives-all” charity cable wakeboarding contest. Riders would choose which charity they wanted to ride for in the contest, and the entry fees from each division would be donated to the 1st place winner’s chosen charity organization! The Wounded Warrior Project was a common choice when riders selected a charity to ride for; other organizations included Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Make A Wish Georgia, No Longer Bound, Atlanta Mission, and Atlanta Community Food Bank. Terminus Wake Park is looking to grow this event each year with the hopes that it will attract riders from around the country to show their support. A portion of all entry fees is also donated to support the recovery of Brad Smeele and Matt Manzari!

Custom plaques designed by Marietta Trophy & Engraving were awarded to all of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners! “One of the more special contests we can look forward to each year, Wake For A Cause, is meant to bring our community together to show our support for those in need both inside and outside of our industry,” says marketing manager, Adam Silcio. “We have some things up our sleeve for next year in order to make this event bigger and help expand our outreach and support efforts.”
