Myrtle Beach, SC-
The Grand Strand is always providing a “Grand Time.” This event never disappoints from year to year, and offers the best wakeboarding in the Southeast.

Who would have thought that Myrtle Beach, South Carolina could offer so much to the sport of wakeboarding. There is no pro tour here, but the water conditions and spectator turn out say otherwise. Austin Hair, Alex Hamrick, and Justin Sellars also had something to say as they took their respective spots on the podium. Austin Hair has been looking for a big win on the Series, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

The open division of the Atlas Wake Series once again stole the show with riders Nick Joesph, Justin Barnes, and Gordon Harrison throwing down 7’s and 5’s like no ones business.

Next came up and comer Emylee Wright, whom you may have seen from Wake Games, once again stepped up to the challenge.  Not only did she win the women’s division again, but took on the boys in the intermediate division. She took 3rd and made Ronnie Anderson and Taylor Thompson put together runs of there lives to fight her off.

Red Bull came out strong and showed why they are the best in the business. Also, local support from the Boathouse, Sail and Ski Connection, and Carolina Wake Sports made this event stronger then ever.

Look for Myrtle Beach to be bigger then ever next season.

Next stop, Smith Mountain Lake, Battle of Bull Run July 24- 26th. Don’t miss this one!
