The name Jobe is one that has been synonymous with watersports since the early 70’s when Jeff Jobe and a few friends started Jobe Waterskis in Redmond Washington. Fortunately, I got to grow up on the same lake (Sammamish) a generation after many of the founders of our industry (Herb O’Brien & Jeff Jobe) were out on the lake creating our industry. Fortunately Jeff & Cindy Jobe had a number of offspring, three boys to be exact – Alex, Scott & Nick. Alex was never really into the wakeboarding thing but Scott was a big part of all that has happened in the last 15 years of wakeboarding on Lake Sammamish. Then last week I come to find out that his brother Nick is working with the crew at Ronix. Kind of cool that that the next generation are working together much like their fathers did 35 years ago. Thank you Scott and Nick. It was great to see you both again.
