Between global warming, the Gulf oil spill and the damn liberal media, sometimes one can feel guilty participating in wake sports. Wakeboarding and wakeskating are admitedtly not the world’s greenest activities, and no amount of bamboo used in production is going to change that. Unfortunately for the planet, the pure joy of participation in these sports is not going away any time soon, but what can you do to reduce your impact?
Well, riding behind the boat is totally out and even winching isn’t the greenest of activities, what with mini gas spills and traipsing through the wilderness. While we’re at it, the cable, with its often manmade lakes and electricity guzzling can only reduce your carbon footprint so much. But on windy beaches across the world, some nature lovers have the answer: kites. It’s not a new idea, but here are a few videos of just what can be done to get you stoked on saving the planet.
