Europe’s biggest wakeboard boat event, the “Chill and Ride“ powered by Nissan, will be the highlight of 2010.

From August 19th till August 22nd the wakeboard festival will be held in Freistett am Rhein, where the local shipyard provides just the right place to celebrate wakeboarding under the motto “Chill and Ride“. Contests, parties and a trade show for wakeboard boats and equipment will make sure that everybody is pleased.

Since summer 2005 the “Chill and Ride“ wakeboard festival takes place on the Rhine, where over the years more and more wakeboard pros gathered together with their own boats to enjoy three days of contests and parties.

This event, with its mixture of competition and pleasure for the riders, surely is a treat for the eyes of its audience. Not very often you find up to 50 wakeboard boards at one spot, the best athletes and a cheering crowd supporting their wakeboard heros. This mixture is the best recipe for three action-packed festival days.

True to its motto the “Chill and Ride“ provides the right options for everybody. Contests in wakesurfing and wakeboarding as well as the wakeboarding team challenge give many opportunities to get actively involved, while a huge chill-out area on the levee allows to kick back, enjoy cold drinks and follow the event from outside the water. Furthermore, the SWR “DASDING“ party will take place inside the shipyard on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening. This year’s top-notch athletes will compete for the massive prize-money of 4000 EUR as well as material prizes and various travel vouchers sponsored by L‘Tur.

Everybody who wants to witness the “Chill and Ride“ powered by Nissan, can just follow the signposting at the Autobahn 5 exit Achtern. The event starts between 11.00 and 12.00 daily.
Those who want to come by boat should hurry, because available berths are limited.
