#WSIAsummit Returns To Steamboat In 2017
Mark your calendars now to join us March 1–4

After a 70/30 vote in favor of a cold climate for the 2017 Summit, many destinations were considered including Keystone, Copper Mountain, Park City/Canyons and Whistler. The Lake Tahoe area was also recommended late in the game.

A high base elevation and spread out lodging eliminated Keystone and Copper. Many of you indicated that being together and running into each other was of value to your Summit experience. Park City was out of our price range and the rooms were $299/night before tax. We outgrew our old venue and would not fit in the same general assembly room that we used to enjoy. Downtown Park City was not ideal, because a lot of you wanted to be mountainside. Whistler involved expensive airfares and potential difficulties for WSIA to ship our necessary items.

Steamboat came through with a bargain deal to get our business back. As most of you know, the lodging and meeting rooms are all together. Base elevation is manageable at 6,900 feet and rooms will be $169 for a studio and $196 for a regular room.

We are open to new ideas for 2018, keeping in mind we need a general assembly room that can seat and dine 180 people. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns (kevin@wsia.net) and we look forward to seeing you in Colorado next year.
