The eight edition of the Cable Wakeboard Word Championships welcomed the international wakeboarding elite in the beautiful Norwegian province of Telemark County at Norsjø Cable Park.

A demanding course and wakeboarding’s cream of the crop promised thrilling competitions. The Juniors already opened the fight for this year’s world championship titles on Friday. The world’s best Open Men and Open Women impressed the crowd with their progressing freestyle-tricks on Saturday.

Lior Sofer (ISR) showed an insane second run and made it in the Open Men category on top of the podium at this year’s World Championships. San Im (KOR) took a well-deserved second place and reigning World Champion Frédéric von Osten (GER) ended up on third place.

It was the seventeen years old Sanne Meijer (NED)who surprised the crowd with a stunning performance in the Finals and became World Champion in the Women Category. Julia Rick (GER) took a well-deserved second place, followed by Maxine Sapulette (NED) on third.
