Having been a fan of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs but never actually owning one of their albums, I feel like I’ve missed out on a massive amount of extraordinary music. Music with energy and power. Music with heart and soul. Music you can dance to and music you can slam to. It’s this music that makes the Yeah Yeah Yeahs so great. And you can hear it in everyone of there tracks on the new album It’s Blitz! Lead singer and band front-runner Karen O belts out lyrics untouched by most. Her vocal strength makes the Yeah Yeah Yeahs the Indie/Alternative leaders and act to follow. Standout tracks include “Zero”, “Dull Life” and my favorite “Runaway”.
