I awoke this morning and checked my email only to find something very disturbing, an email simply titled important message for all photographers.  Now usually when I receive something like this it is just a list of deadlines, or maybe a reminder of some sort of event, but not today. It was a very short, sincere message informing me the The Standerd, the very beautiful and artistic wake quarterly we have all come to know and love, will be no more. It appears that the recent economic crisis has gotten the best of them, and they can no longer afford to produce the publication. Book 2.3, which was just released, will be there last. So take a moment to mourn the loss of a great magazine, as I know I will, and then make sure you show your final support by picking up book 2.3.  The Standerd was a great way for photographers and riders alike to gain some exposure in a professional publication, and it will be sad to see them go.

But don’t fret too much photographers, us at alliacewakeskate are still here kicking and screaming, and would love to see your Standerd worthy prints. So send em on over, and we’ll do the best we can to show them off to the world……
