Blackpool Wake Series Stop 1 – Press Release

The 2012 Blackpool Wake Series kicks off on Saturday 12th May at Blackpool Wake Park. The series was a blinding success last year and is all about having a fun day riding on the water. It is a grass roots style event and even if you only learnt to wakeboard last week you can still come along and enter!

From 10am till 3pm it is all day riding with pro coaching and demos, this is the perfect time to learn new tricks, progress your riding and meet some new friends. At around 3pm the competition starts and each rider gets split into their appropriate divisions. They get 3 passes of the lake to impress the judges and score as many points as possible. Once each division is done the day is rounded off with a prize giving.

In 2012 an intermediate division has been added. Blackpool Wake Series will run with the following divisions:

– Rookies
– Juniors
– Ladies
– Intermediates
– Open Men
– Wakeskate

The Blackpool Wake Series is all about fun and progressing your riding, it is designed for all standards of riders and is aimed at being more of a fun day on the water than a serious competition. Hackers will be MC’ing, there will be tunes playing and the cafe will be serving food and drinks all day.

It costs £30 to enter and this includes all day riding from 10am to 3pm and your competition entry fee. There is loads of prizes and divisions so everyone stands a chance of taking home some goodies.

Blackpool Wake Park is located just off the M55 and only 10 minutes away from Blackpool town centre. It is situated in the stunning countryside just outside Blackpool and operates on a clean fresh water lake. For more info check them out at www.blackpoolwakepark.co.uk
