London finally gets its first wake park this weekend. Whilst there are plenty of wake parks on the outskirts of London there has never been anything in the centre of London until now. With the System 2.0 craze still in full effect it was not long till somebody opened a wake park in a major city centre. You don’t get much bigger than London and congratulations to Wake Up Docklands who open this weekend.

Wake Up Docklands is based in Victoria Dock just next to the Excel exhibition centre in Docklands. You can get the DLR line to within a 5 minute walk of the park and its location is only a stones throw from the home of the London Boat Show.

The wake park features two Sesitec System 2.0’s a manual pad with flat bar on the side, a kicker and a UNIT bank. They invited us down for a sneak peak and we have been riding the bank already and it so much fun and something a little different to any other wake park in the UK.

The water in the docks is clean and kept well up to standard and when the sun’s out it is a very inviting place to ride. The back drop to the park includes the Millennium Dome, Canary Wharf and the new Emirates Airway cable car. The wake park is located right under the new cable car and is within the Olympic zone so it should be bustling with people this summer.

Keep checking back to see some videos and photo shoots which will be happening there soon.
