A bit about Dary…

“My name is Dary Znebel, and I am 23 years old.  I am from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.  I run my own wakeboard school during the summer (2 months) behind my dads old 2001 Super Air Nautique, and teach trampoline part time and work at a welding/metal shop during the winter.  I started wakeboarding when I was 13, and started competing behind the boat at 14. I have been wakeboarding for about 10 years. (1 year in Canada = 3-4 month wakeboard season)

In 2009 when I was 17 I tore my ACL, MCL, and Meniscus in a few different places at Canadian Nationals.  (This really sucked because I had planned to move to Florida in January of 2010 to ride the Junior Pro Tour and work as an “intern” at Sean O’Brien’s Wakeboard Camp).

1 year or so, and 2 surgeries later I was riding again when that winter I cased a jump snowboarding and tore my ACL, MCL, and Meniscus once again, but this time it was my other knee.

In 2011 I got my second knee reconstructed.  There were some complications and I had to get another surgery done in 2012 to fix everything properly.

Spring of 2013 I was feeling pretty good, and I started riding as much as I could afford to.  I saved up some money so I could go to Asia in the spring of 2014. So this 2014 season video is from 2 boat sets behind my friends boats, some footage from my Asia trip, mixed with some clips of me riding at home in Ontario, Canada at my friends private System 2.0 set up (Planet Bayou), and a local System 2.0 park called The Ranch.”
