2013 AF Wake Big Air Fair

Other than the Fourth of July fireworks, the 2013 AF Wake Big Air Fair was, by far, the largest gathering of boats ever seen on Lake Gaston!

As part of the AF Wake Series and the Splash (Lake Gaston’s 50^th birthday celebration), the Big Air Fair brought an estimated 200+ boats throughout the day and loads of land spectators to Eaton’s Ferry Bridge to watch riders fly high. Despite challenging water conditions, riders did amazing!

Stephen Pierce won Best Trick with a huge Toeside 900. Pierce and LKG local Chris Brown shared the Best Air award for their “indy” and “hoochie” glides off the double up.

All of the riders threw it all on the line, but Lake Gaston native, Chris Brown, brought home the honorary “No Guts, No Glory” Best Crash award for his attempt at a double Tantrum.
