All Roads Lead to Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships in Miyoshi City, Japan for the Final Stop of the WWA WBWS and Nautique Wake Series Season

Miyoshi City, Tokushima, Japan (August 28, 2018) –The World Wake Association (WWA) and Nautique Boats are proud to take the 2018 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships to beautiful Miyoshi City, Japan August 30th – September 2nd. The final stop of the 2018 Nautique Wake Series and WWA Wakeboard World Series, an international field of riders representing just under forty countries will compete for the 2018 Wakeboard World Championships titles in all WWA Amateur and Pro Wakeboard and Wakeskate divisions. The Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships will be towed exclusively behind the award-winning Super Air Nautique G23, setting the perfect stage for athletes to deliver epic performances with each round of competition getting them one step closer to the crown. 

Kicking off the 30th year celebration of the World Wake Association, this is the first time in history a Wakeboard World Championship event will see a competition field of thirty countries or more. The celebration will officially begin behind the 5x Wakeboard Boat of the Year, the Super Air Nautique G23, on Thursday, August 30th with amateur division semifinal rounds. The event will entertain a full schedule of jaw-dropping performances on the water paired with traditional Japanese ceremonies and festivals throughout the weekend. The 2018 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships presented by Rockstar Energy will conclude on Sunday, September 2nd crowning the 2018 World Champions. 

Overall Nautique Wake Series titles will be awarded in Pro Men, Pro Women, Pro Wakeskate, and Jr. Pro Men divisions with a payout of over $40,000 (USD) in addition to $60,000 (USD) in event prize money on the line. The 2018 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships will also serve as the final stop of the WWA Wakeboard World Series with $100,000 (USD) to be awarded to the top three ranked riders in the Pro Men and Pro Women Wakeboard divisions.
