The MSC, in it’s 8th season, has been making waves throughout the region with on-going chatter about quality wakes, MONSTER rails and a screamin’ good time!  Come into town on Friday night and we’ll have plenty of entertainment happening between the lake and the local nightlife at the Crockett Street Entertainment District in Downtown Beaumont.  We’ll have the Malibu’s from Darryl Moore’s Marine on display so come see the exclusive towboats of the 2010 SETx Mid-Summer Classic.  All the locals know that the “wakeboarders are coming to town” so a party is brewin’ for sure!  Ever felt like a big-fish in a small pond?  Make SETx your stomping ground for the weekend of June 26…  Good times are guaranteed.

On Saturday morning, riders from as far as Louisiana to Oklahoma will show up to the Southesast Texas (SETx) private lake for this all-inclusive weekend of wakeboarding.  We’ll have levels to accommodate all rider types: (novice, advanced, expert, outlaw & wakeskate).  At SETx, we’re always striving to activate new ideas and adjust formats so we can keep it feelin’ fresh.  For example, in 2009 we implemented a new PWT-similar style of judging into our expert & outlaw divisions.  We’re going to continue this in 2010 because we think it’s stretching our top riders to make them better, all-around wakeboarders.  We appreciate the standard that the PWT has set with its’ new format and we’re going to try and pass that progression on to our local riders.

We see a lot of diversity the day of the event (from beginner to semi-pro) so it’s our goal to give each rider the best pull possible.  SETx judges & drivers work hard to dial-in the wakes to ensure each set is driven with top-notch quality.  Our judges are experienced riders and their goal is to provide accuracy and consistency in the scoring of each competitor.  The Mid-Summer Classic is a “rider’s tournament” and we work very hard to keep that reality pure and simple.

Spectators can expect to see top-area-athletes show up to compete for cash prizes and bragging rights.  One lucky winner will win an exclusive Rider Link interview with the online voice of wakeboarding, WakeWorld.com!  This will give the winning rider a chance to be seen & heard among the thousands of every-day users that are apart of the WakeWorld community.  *RAIL-RIDERS, ALL HANDS ON DECK: Be sure to bring your slider-boards, helmets & winches (if you got’em) because SETx has an 80ft relentless and a 100ft rooftop rail that are definitely SHRED-ready, (an official rail-jam with cash prizes is in the works so stay tuned for more details…)
