TOP WAKE PARK ATHLETES ARRIVE IN PARADISE FOR
THE 2017 WWA WAKE PARK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

September 29 – October 1

The best wake park athletes in the world have arrived in paradise for the WWA Wake Park World Championships and the riding we’ve seen the past two days leading up to the event has been insane. Coming through the gates of the Camsur Watersports Complex (CWC) feels as if you’ve stepped into another world with a small city centered around an experience on the water you won’t find anywhere else. Isolated in this beautiful setting of palm trees and a mountainous backdrop along with a bar and restaurant situated in the perfect lakeside spot to catch all of the action, one of the most dedicated communities in wake has come together for three days of riding unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

The WWA Wake Park World Series (WPWS) has been building up to this with progressive riding coming from every part of the globe, featuring an international field of athletes full of surprises and creativity. Different parks and regions of the world breed diverse perspectives on the approach to each feature with riders taking crazy new lines and feeding off of each other to push the level of the sport. Competitors walk away from this event with not only world titles, but new influences that have a global impact on the sport long after the closing ceremonies. That’s the beauty of the state of this sport and the true essence of the WWA Wake Park World Championships.
