Centurion Tows the 12th Annual World Wake Surfing Championship

Merced, CA April 2nd, 2014; Centurion Boats is proud to announce the acceptance as the official towboat of the 2014 World Wake Surfing Championship. The prestigious event will be towed with the Centurion Enzo FX44, a first for this new model. The current flagship of professional wake surfing will be fully equipped with RAMFILL ballast, the world’s largest ballast tank capacity and the absolute fastest system filling in a record 29 seconds! The revolutionary CATS (Centurion Articulating Tracking System) technology will be employed to provide adjustability for the perfect wave for the world’s best wake surfers whether skim or surf styles are preferred.

Bryan Holland, Centurion’s VP of Worldwide Sales said, “With the explosive growth in FX44 sales this year due to the technology such as the new FX hull, RAM and CATS, I just knew we had to tow the event with this model. The SV Enzos are tried and true, but the biggest wave available is exclusive to the FX44.”

Centurion is honored to tow this event as the title sponsorship has been made available to competing boat brands for two consecutive years; only the highest performing wake surf boats are selected to tow the World Series of Wake Surfing’s most celebrated stop, the World Wake Surfing Championship. The event will culminate the competitive season in Las Vegas with series qualifiers in Arizona, Georgia, Minnesota, Utah, Washington, Virginia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Russia and Switzerland.

The World Wake Surfing Championship in its 12th year boasts the greatest professional wake surfing talent with the richest prize purse annually. Last year, following the first annual Wake Surf Awards ceremony, an exclusive red carpet event; $100,000 in cash was awarded to the series Champions and finalist. With Centurion’s commitment to the growth of wake surfing, the expectations are high for 2014 being another record year.

The World Wake Surfing Championship will be hosted in conjunction with Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort in beautiful Henderson, Nevada.
