ORLANDO, FL (September 4, 2013) — Today Correct Craft is honored to announce that Ralph C. Meloon will be inducted into the National Marine Manufacturer Association (NMMA) Hall of Fame for his career achievements and contributions to the boating industry. Ralph will be recognized during the 23rd annual International Boat Builder’s Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) on September 17th in Louisville, Kentucky.

The NMMA Hall of Fame was established in 1988 and recognizes individuals who have, or continue to generate, substantial and lasting contributions toward the advancement of the boating industry. Being the highest honor to achieve in the industry, the award honors individuals whose names and deeds are synonymous with the pursuit of quality, innovation, and perfection within their respective sphere of expertise.

Ralph held many positions at Correct Craft over the years including President, Executive Vice President, Treasurer, and Chairman of the Board for over 25 years helping shape the company into an innovative leader in the ski and wake-sports industry.  Known as the world traveler and incredibly outgoing Ralph was the face of Correct Craft for many decades. He continuous lives out his faith through work and truly believes “Building boats to the glory of God,” took precedent over all other business philosophies.

During his tenure, Ralph was instrumental in many innovations as well as tracking down and paying all creditors back from the bankruptcy years.  He also established the first water ski team and developed the first water ski promotional program in the United States which is still used to date by Nautique and its competitors. More than that, Ralph traveled to 85 countries promoting both Correct Craft and boating.

“Ralph is truly an extraordinary man who I have had the pleasure to know for the past several years. Ralph has been instrumental to the success of not only to Correct Craft but the entire boating industry,” stated Correct Craft President/CEO Bill Yeargin. “Everyone at Nautique is thrilled for Ralph to be inducted into the NMMA Hall of Fame, certainly there is no one more deserving than Ralph Meloon!” added Yeargin.
