Nautique Wake Open to Air on NBC Sports Today at 4:00 p.m. EST

Winter Park, Fla. (October 21, 2014) –The seventh installment of the 2014 King of Wake series, the Nautique Wake Open, will premiere today on 4:00 p.m. EST on NBC Sports Network.  The series is presented by Rockstar Energy.

The inaugural four day event featured more than 20 divisions of wakeboarders and wakeskaters, ending with the ever popular professional divisions of the Jr. Pro Men’s, Men’s Professional, Professional Wakeskate and Women’s Professional giving it their all to be crowned champions at the Orlando Watersports Complex.  Riders from all corners of the globe congregated in the wake capital of the world to watch the best of the best thrown down.

A fan favorite, the CONTOUR big air kicker contest will also be on display during the televised episode.  The mesmerizing specialty event features some of the best Pro Men’s riders who put their bodies on the line and launch themselves from a ramp into the air and perform massive rotating aerials that are rarely accomplished in a traditional contest setting.  The boat travels around 28 mph.

NBC Sports Network will air the final episode in November as the top wakeboarding pro’s compete in the sport’s most elite series and final stop, the WWA Wakeboard World Championships. The Nautique Wake Open serves as the final stop on the Nautique Wake Series, a four-event professional and amateur wakeboard and wakeskate series, and the seventh stop on the King of Wake series.

NBC Sports Network gives viewers unprecedented access to all of the action on the water, with in-depth profiles of all the best riders!
