NO FEAR STORES WILL COLLECT NEW SHOES FOR CHILDREN IN NEED THROUGH Barefoot Kids Foundation LOCAL PROGRAMS

CARLSBAD, CA, January 2011 — Barefoot Kids Foundation is pleased to announce that we have been selected as an official partner of New Shoe Drive, a shoe collection program by NO FEAR. Our National Distribution Network operates in 12 States in 27 Cities with 31 Distribution partners that is comprised of established Child Charity Service Organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs and Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Salvation Army, Schools and Licensed State Agency’s currently helping Children with their daily lives.

NO FEAR will be promoting the donation drive throughout the entire month of February at all NO FEAR stores located in 10 different states across the country. Each week for four weeks, NO FEAR is offering exclusive deals only for those who bring in new shoes to donate. Barefoot Kids Foundation will be distributing the collected new shoes to local children through our distribution partners that work one-on-one with Kids in Need.

The National Center for Children in Poverty (NCCP) reports that 17% or 14 Million children live in poor families in the U.S. New footwear is often not on the list after bills; food and medical care are paid. We help provide new shoes to those Kids in need.

“In its fourth year, the goal of Barefoot Kids Foundation program remains the same — to provide new footwear, a basic necessity, to children who might otherwise go without,” said Loret Ross, Co-Founder.  “The success of the program over the past 3 years, and the number of children we have assisted, continues to support our focus and drive our efforts.  Unemployment is very high in all areas of our country, affecting many families that struggle to provide their children with basic essentials, and shoes are often not addressed.  NO FEAR has established a New Shoe Drive Collection Program in all their stores to help us provide shoes to Kids in need. We hope that local Kids will benefit from donations within each community.”
