SPY® is happy to welcome all-around wake wizard Daniel Grant—considered to be one of the most stylish riders on the water today—to its notoriously progressive wake team. Daniel Grant joins a seemingly endless list of talented riders that features the likes of Parks and Shane Bonifay, Bob Soven, Danny Harf, Melissa Marquardt and many more.

“Daniel Grant is a huge link to the future of wakeboarding,” says Aaron Grace, SPY wake team manager. “He’s been traveling the globe for over two years now, making a name for himself in the wakeboard world. At 15-years-old, Daniel has a bright future ahead of him and I’m happy that he’s now a key athlete on the SPY wake team.”

Born in Newcastle, England, and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, Grant has traveled around the world more than most people five times his age. Logging 100,000 miles last year alone, Daniel shut down wake parks and lakes in a blaze of consistency and versatility while winning nearly every contest he entered. Recently competing in Boardstock Australia, Daniel stood on the podium in seven different disciplines; 1st in four wakeskate disciplines and a 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the wakeboard disciplines.

“I’m super stoked to be on SPY’s wake team,” says Daniel Grant. “They’re really pushing the sport forward and I have looked up to many of their team riders since I started. I’m really happy to be part of it.”

Daniel Grant will be globetrotting and spotting landings in SPY’s new Happy Lens™ sunglasses, available at www.spyoptic.com/happy.
