The First Oklahoma Mudslide
The countryside may be flat, but Southwest Oklahoma will experience a huge “Mudslide” near Lawton on the weekend of September 12-14. The top wakeboard and wakeskate rail and ramp riders will gather to session a new venue in an unlikely setting.
According to the website,, the Mudslide is “10 acres of water, 4 rails from 16 to 60 feet long, a kicker, and a 32-foot fun box with a Waverunner and winch to tow.”
“We’ve been working at this farm for two years on the rails and ramps and talking about doing this event since we started,” said Jarret Cofer, partner in The Mudslide will happen on the plains 15 miles south of Lawton, Oklahoma, right on Interstate 44.
The top wakeboard and wakeskate riders in the region have been invited to participate. “We’re intentionally keeping the rider list short so everyone gets plenty of time on the water to session the features and enjoy our new site,” said Larry Cofer with “These are riders with rail and ramp experience who can really rip.”
The event features a lighted railjam on Saturday night. For more information on the Mudslide, go to Supporting the Mudslide are the Central Oklahoma Wakeboard Center (COW-C), Helium, Anarchy Eyewear, and Honda-Yamaha Powersports of Lawton.
