The X Games Austin recently released a poll that shows top Centurion Boats wake surfers Raleigh Hager and Ashley Kidd have been named to the X Games Top 20 in Texas list. The list is a veritable “who’s who” of action sports heroes from Texas. Raleigh Hager, the 12-year-old wake surfing protégé with two women’s world championships to her name, was listed in the second spot behind skateboarder John “Tex” Gibson who took top honors. Ashley Kidd, also on the Centurion wake surfing professional team was listed at eighteenth.

The Summer X Games, now in its nineteenth year, opens in Austin, Texas on June 5. Other notable entries to the list include big wave surfing legend Ken Bradshaw, slalom skier Michelle Tuegel and wakeboarder Tom Fooshee. The list, which appears as a photo album on X Games Austin’s Facebook page is impressive to say the least, but what’s more remarkable is the fact that two women of wake surfing are amongst the Top 20 for both men and women even when wake surfing is not an X Games sport.

Centurion Boats, the world leader in wake surfing towboat technology, sponsors more top wake surfing athletes than any other towboat manufacturer. Raleigh Hager and Ashley Kidd, both from Texas, are amongst the very top in women’s wake surfing competition.
