“When UNIT approached me about doing a signature shirt with my own drawing, I immediately thought about doing something with a hand; something similar to those I drew a while back for my pro-model wakeboard. This led us to the ‘rock-hand.’ You always hear about rock n’ roll, but I haven’t come across the German phrase, ‘Rocken und Rollen’. I liked the sound of it…the twist with something German, and the ambiguous meaning of ‘rollen,’ which has a strong connection to skateboarding.
