Atlanta, Georgia (January 23, 2017) – Action Event Group, LLC is pleased to announce the 2017 Georgia Wake Series Schedule and Event Dates. Coming off a hugely successful inaugural season which saw over 130 unique riders participate in six events across the State as well as over $24,000 in purse and prizes, we are thrilled to expand the Series for 2017. This year the Series is adding an additional stop while balancing the two disciplines of Boat and Park through an increased number of Wake Park events, including a trip to one of the most progressive parks in the world, the Valdosta Wake Compound.

Tour director, Brandon Lee said, “I am really excited about the 2017 schedule. We were able to pack in seven events across five weekends thanks to our friends at Terminus Wake Park. For both the kickoff and state championship dates we will have a Boat Event and Park Event the same weekend, on back-to-back days, within close proximity to each other. We have also spread out our event dates, now running from May through September, which should lighten the load on travel and give riders more time to progress their riding. Finally, I’m really excited that we are heading down south to Valdosta Wake Compound.  Luke and Quinn have been doing amazing things at VWC and it should be one of the highlights of the year.”

For 2017, scoring changes are on the way, focusing on the more balanced event schedule and rewarding consistency throughout the season across both disciplines.

Save the dates now and look for future announcements on all of our 2017 sponsors, registration, new rules, and more! Follow the Georgia Wake Series on Facebook and Instagram. For more information including how to participate and support, visit www.gawakeseries.com.
