Pros bring the heat to International Wake Park on day two at the 2015 WWA Wake Park World Series Finale

#WPWS sets up for the final day of the 2015 season

Professional riders both men and women from five different continents hit the water today in Phuket Thailand with an impressive show for all to see. International Wake Park plays host to what is going to be the heaviest riding to ever go down in a wake park event. Whether it be technical rail hits, massive bangers off the kicker or huge flats tricks, after todays showing, expect the riding to be the best ever!

German professional women’s rider Julia Rick is looking as strong as ever after her double first place heat finishes in the quarter final rounds in both features only and traditional cable format. Jamie Lopina from The United States is also riding at the top professional women’s level and is going to give Julia Rick a major challenge to complete her perfect first place finish season. Together these two along with a very talented and diverse nationality field of professional women will fight it out for a season finish podium at the 2015 WWA Wake Park World Series Finale.

International Wake Park owner Toon Amornkait has built a rider’s dream of a park not only on the water but in location also. “Being able to host the world’s most prestigious wake park series finale here in Phuket is such an honor. To hear all the great responses from all the riders about how great the park is and how the WWA does it to the highest standard means the world to us here in Thailand. And to top it off by having the best sponsors be on board with the event such as Singha, helps make this event so much fun!” says Toon.

Traditional and features only professional men’s witnessed some major hammers go down. Australia’s Sebastian Dunn scored a flawless 100 in both his traditional semi finals heat and his features only heat. Him along with Guy Firer from Israel and Sunghyun Yun from South Korea are also riding solid and are looking good to win their first every Wake Park World Series event. Everything from doubleflips, 1080’s and the wildest possible rail hits were seen today. Add that in with a mix of multiple handle passes and grabs on a ton of flats tricks and you can easily understand why the riding was as heavy as it was today.

The 2015 season is coming to a close tomorrow with a hearty event that will be guaranteed to go down in history as the best riding ever in a park event of all time. Come out to International Wake Park to witness history in the making and see who will be crowned the finale stop champion. On top of that we will also be crowning our 2015 overall Wake Park World Series champions in both Men’s Professional Features Only and Traditional Cable Professional Men’s. So much action that you do not want to miss tomorrow, see you then!
