The Monster Energy Wake Park Triple Crown officially kicked off at Cajun X Cables in Lafayette Louisiana today. The first rounds are in the books with only semis and finals left for tomorrow and it is hard to imagine that the riding could get any better but the boys always seem to step it up for the final day.

As in years past Tom Fooshee and James Windsor won both of their heats and are strong favorites in both pro divisions for tomorrow. But there is definitely an amazing youth movement coming right now and there are a couple of standouts that are going to put real pressure on the veterans. Graeme Burress was putting down some super creative lines and was as focused as any rider. Then the real youth standouts were Yonel Cohen and Sebastian Dunn, both were stomping 1080’s off the kickers and turning the judges heads all day long. Sebastian comes out of Australia hailing from Cairns Cable Park and will definitely be a big contender this year.

It was clear with in all divisions that everyone has been riding a ton in the off season as every division took a huge step forward with progressive riding coming from everyone.  There is also a well know field of wakeskaters set for tomorrow that will be sure to blow minds.

Special thanks to Monster Energy, Liquid Force, alliancewake.com and CTi Kneebraces for their support of the Wake Park Triple Crown.
