The alway-on-the-go and ready-to-ride Keith Lyman is gonna be bummed out for the next four to six months. Yesterday morning while shooting for an Oakley ad Lyman blew out his knee.

The good news is that it wasn't the same knee he blew back in '04. The bad news is that it's still a blown knee.

"I was hitting some double ups, and the double ups behind my boat are just stupid huge," Lyman said. "But I felt like going really big and doing a huge indy shifty. So I took a Raley cut at the double up and I got punted. It was probably one of the biggest double ups I've ever hit. The whole time I was up there I was thinking, 'Uh-oh…' But the crazy thing is that I landed perfectly — I was balanced and I was centered over my board — but I'd gone so big and so far into the flats that my knee just buckled from the impact."

So kids, if you want to save your knees, don't try to get "punted" off of "stupid huge" double ups. All the best to Keith, his riding will definitely be missed for the next few months.
