Go Off at Lake Elsinore, Saturday, April 19th

The inaugural event of the 2008 “Wake 2 Wake Tour” sponsored by No Fear, will glide into motion Saturday April 19th at Lake Elsinore, in Southern California. Billed as the Inland Empire Uprising, this competitive, Pro-Am wakeboarding contest marks the first of a four event series sanctioned by the World World Wakeboard Association (WWA). Additional stops on this coast-to-coast tour will visit Texas, Kansas, and Florida.

“The Wake 2 Wake  (W2W) Tour is all about creating an environment for wakeboarders to compete in fun, high-energy events with boatloads of prizes, awards and cash,” said Contest Director, Mark Pulver.  “With sponsors, such as No Fear, MasterCraft, Nautique, Toyota, Hyperlite, Spy sunglasses, Sambazon, Protec, CWB, California Skier, Ogio, Proline, Alliance Wake Magazine, and others, competitors can count on professionally run events with plenty of incentives.”

All W2W Tour events will comply with WWA rules and standards. To accommodate boarders of all ages, the series will have four age divisions for boys and girls ages five and up, including Open Men’s and Open Women’s divisions with $800 cash purses.  Plus, every heat winner will earn instant cash. At the end of the series, the top three finishers in each division will gain WWA points that could help them qualify for WWA National and WWA World championship series.
