The October/November issue of Alliance is here and you’re going to notice a few changes. First off, you’ll see a new logo and a redesign of the magazine. We’ve freshened things up to finish off 2014 and head into 2015. Hopefully you’re as stoked on it as we are. Secondly, you might notice the title of the magazine is no longer Alliance Wakeboard. We have dropped the board and the magazine is now officially Alliance Wake. This has been an idea tossed around by the Alliance team for a long time because ever since the first issue Alliance has been about much more than just wakeboarding. Plus, the website has always been alliancewake.com. Well, now the change is here, and we will continue to bring you the best content from all the wake sports you love with each and every issue of the magazine. The third big change you will not actually notice here – you’re gonna have to pick up a magazine for yourself. We have made a major change with the paper quality and we know you’re going to like it. So get to your local shop ASAP and pick up the new issue – better yet get a subscription started now. The Alliance of the future is here and you’re not going to want to miss out on anything. Here’s what’s in store for the October/November issue…

Body Glove in Dubai

The Body Glove team took a trip to Dubai this spring for an epic travel piece that also happens to feature some epic wakeboarding. Read all about Rusty, Harley, Bob, Melissa, and Keenan’s adventures in the desert oasis – including a trip to the top of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.

The List

Every year in our issue that releases at Surf Expo we have “The List.” This article is a look back at the last 365 days within our sports and highlights what we loved, kind of liked, and absolutely could have done without. It’s always entertaining, a little edgy, and regularly full of innuendo. You’ll enjoy it. Or not, whatever.

Area 52

Kevin Henshaw’s private compound has been causing quite a stir since he finished construction and opened it up for his friends to shred. We got some of the first access to it and the photos are awesome. Props to Kevin for all the hard work to make this dream a reality, we know the sport is going to be better off for it in the years to come.

The Cover
Just in case you didn’t notice, Kevin Henshaw also managed to grab the cover of the first issue of Alliance Wake. His method tree jib at Area 52 is gnarly, creative, and super cool looking in this photo by our own Garrett Cortese. When we saw it we knew it had to be the lead image for the new goodness of the magazine.
