The fourth year of the Wake Park Triple Crown series is about to kick off this weekend at BSR in Waco, TX in epic fashion. How epic? Try a $50,000 purse epic. Yeah, that will open your eyes and make you try some stuff on the water, right? For the past three years the WPTC has set the standard for wake park contests and it will only be getting bigger and better this season. The jam session format is one of the most exciting things to watch in all of wakeboarding and when you’ve got the best riders in the world vying for a piece of that prize money, you know you’re going to see some amazing action.

Riders this weekend at BSR include the king Tom Fooshee, young guns Daniel Grant and James Windsor, and many others like Jimmy LaRiche and Collin Harrington. Plus wakeskaters like Andrew and Austin Pastura, Bret Little, and of course Daniel Grant again, will all be taking part and putting on one heck of a show. One of the best things about the WPTC series is how fan/spectator friendly it is. The confines of these wake parks make the contests easy and fun to watch, plus getting to interact with the riders isn’t just an option, it’s highly encouraged.

Do yourself a favor and find the time to hit up one of the the WPTC stops this summer. If you’re in Texas you’re doubly in luck as the first stop is this weekend at BSR in Waco and the second stop is at TSR in New Braunfels July 19-20. The series winds down at OWC in Orlando Sept. 12-15. For more info head over to the WWA website.
