Take a trip to Panama with Parks Bonifay, Brian Grubb and Steel Lafferty as the guys look for a way to relax and unwind the only way they know how – riding behind seaplanes, winching a huge road gap and general cable park foolery with the locals.  It’s not just a vacation; it’s a Wakecation.

In a new five-part video series dropping March 11 on redbull.com/wakecation, the group of friends takes a break from the grind of contests and daily life to spend some time at Nitro City and searching around Panama for new waters to ride. The series trailer was released today.

“At the end of a season sometimes you do get a little burnt out on the contest scene just constantly traveling within the states and stuff,” Parks Bonifay says. “It feels good to just get out of your hometown and just explore and go into a foreign land and just ride on some waters you’ve never ridden on and be with your friends in some places you’ve never been.”

Parks and Grubb would know about exploring and riding in foreign lands. Grubb recently released an edit from Bosnia that has him wakeskating a nearly frozen river, transitioning to snow and back to the water becoming the first person to wakeskate on snow. Parks famously rode icebergs in Patagonia in 2013.

Guess the guys were ready for a more tropical climate – no wetsuits required.

The story begins typically enough in the Central Florida area on Lake Ronix but quickly gets weird at Nitro City when the guys find a seaplane pilot willing to pull them – behind his plane.

Five episodes were shot with bonus features for each chapter. New episodes will be posted weekly starting March 11 on redbull.com/wakecation.

Rumor has it Parks is giving away a couple Ronix board setups and a trip to Nitro City (sans seaplane pulls) for a few people who feel they truly deserve a Wakecation. Follow @redbullorl on Instagram starting March 11 for contest info and redbull.com/wakecation for contest rules.
