Playa del Carmen, Mexico (November 1, 2018)– The WWA Wake Park World Championships presented by Nautique Boats gets going this weekend at the Mayan Water Complex in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The whole season has been leading up to this as riders from all over the globe come together to put it all on the line for the 2018 WWA World Championship. This event is the fourth and final stop to the World Wake Association’s Wake Park World Series (WPWS) and the riders know it’s time to either go big or go home! 

A first for our sport, the WWA Wake Park World Championships will feature equal podium prize money for the Pro Men and Pro Women podium finishes in both Traditional and Features Only. The top three male and female competitors will be paid out equally as part of the WWA’s long-term plan to continue progressing the sport of wake. 

The WWA WPWS has had an awesome showing of talent this year as every stop has been full of unreal and creative riding. With so much talent in one place, the riders will definitely be feeding off one another and hopefully keep their riding fresh for years to come.
