The CWB Katana was one of the boards that surprised me the most.  I was uncertain how the quad setup would work with the fins set so far back. The Katana had very controlled drive and speed, which made it easy to stay in the wave. It also held rail really well, which allowed for some great bottom turns and fun slashes. The narrow nose seemed to bury in the water easily causing the board to pearl. The Katana is reasonably light and a good performance style board to get your slash on and boost some airs.
