Sonny Moore formally of the screaming, high-energy hardcore punk band From First to Last has branched off for a long-awaited solo run. After starting the fast paced punk band the age of 16 and gaining massive exposure opening for bands like Hawthorne Heights, Sonny felt like that just wasn’t his calling. His powerful vocals and interest in IDM and Electronica fueled his fire to release his first short-but-fun dance based album Gypsyhook. Sonny’s switch from hardcore to dance was a huge shock to most of his true fans but it’s hard not to enjoy such a talented artist. The entire album is great but check out “Mora” and then “Kai Sui” which is “Mora” sung entirely in Japanese. Impressive.
