A couple of weeks ago we made the somewhat foolish decision to give a group of riders one of our GoPro cameras on the promise that they would film all the riding on their week long trip around Holland. This all sounds great, except the lads who took our camera were Lee Debuse, CK Koester and Louis Floyd. Being true lads, they had a bit too much fun riding and partying with Ricky Lukassen and didn’t get round to filming much at all, except for one rail at the Teva Blue Line Park at DownUnder Cableway. They also forgot everything we explained about how the camera has a wide-angle lens and is waterproof, so make sure to film as close to the action as possible. Instead they sat really far away on a raised tower, so the wide-angle lens gets most of Holland in the frame, with the rider as a tiny speck in the middle.
Watching back the footage they gave us I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. The confused look on their faces at the start of every clip as they stare into the lens wondering if the camera is recording or not! But bless their little cotton socks, they did kind of try therefore we will hold up our end of the deal. So here you have it, Alliance (not-so) proudly presents ‘Lads On Tour’ (aka: a bunch of bumbling idiots wakeboarding in the Netherlands while trying to figure out how to use a camera) May god have mercy on us all!
