Wake Up Brighton held their first contest last weekend and the feedback we are getting back at the Alliance HQ is top notch. It was an amateur event aimed at getting all the local riders together and having fun and meeting each other. Red Bull and ION supported the contest and provided music , a chill out area and loads of top prizes.

A large chunk of the kitesurf community around Brighton have been riding the System 2.0 and loving every minute of it. World Champ and kitesurf wonder kid, Mr Aaron Hadlow is a regular down there and has some serious wakeboard skills. He doesn’t look like a kite surfer trying to wakeboard but likes more a seasoned wakeboard pro! We guess he is one of those blessed buggers who is damn good at everything! The Brighton pier jumping nutter Lewis Crathern is also a regular at the Wake Up Brighton and his skills are not too shabby on a wakeboard either! Both Aaron and Lewis were on hand to give demos and coaching during the contest

Here are the results from the contest:

1st: John Yeomans

2nd: Benny Castilo

3rd Scott Topham

There are alleady plans for another contest in the near future, so keep an eye on www.wakeupbrighton.co.uk
