$7,500 Up for Grabs at The 2015 Rip Curl’s Judgement Team Challenge presented by Tige Boats
August 25th 2015 – Wake Canada is excited to announce a new partnership with Alliance Wakeboard and Tige Boats for the 2015 Rip Curl Judgement Team Challenge. Four teams from across Canada have been selected to participate in this year’s new format, leaving four additional spots for open team submissions. Teams will have until October 15tht to submit a 2 – 5 minute edited composed of a minimum of three, maximum of five riders. “We are really excited about our new partnership with Alliance Wake, Rip Curl and Tige Boats.” Says Sean Flemming, Wake Canada representative, “Having them on board has allowed us to step up the prize purse and overall exposure for Canadian riders. I expect to see some serious bangers in these videos.”
The submission deadline for the videos will be October 15st, 2015.
The Rules:
Teams: All teams must be composed of a minimum of three, maximum of five participants. Participants include wakeboarders, wakeskaters, videographers, both male and female. All riders must be Canadian citizens.
Submissions: The Judgement is open to any team willing to participate, however the organizing team withholds the right to remove videos with explicit or inappropriate content.
Music Selection: Royalty free music is encouraged for team edits but not mandatory. Explicit music is not permitted in the form of Strong language; Images of or references to violence, physical, or mental abuse.
Duration: Videos must be 2 – 5 minutes in length
Videos will be judged based on the following: Judge Panel
The judging panel will be composed of both professional Canadian riders as well as professional videographers. Quality of filming, quality of editing, creativity of riding, variety of team members, variety of tricks, variety of disciplines (boat, winch, wake park, etc.) will be taken into account.
People’s Choice Exposure Round: There will be a one week exposure round for the people’s choice vote. Exposure is measured in the total amount of views for each video. Teams with the highest exposure will receive the people’s choice award:
Deadline: Submission Round is October 15st
People’s Choice Exposure round is Oct 17th – 23rd .
Judge Panel Prize Money Break Down:
1st: $4,000
Runner Up: $1,500
People’s Choice Exposure Round: $2,000
