Billabong adds Marc Rossiter to their Wakeboard Program.

Marc Rossiter, out of the UK, has established himself as one of the top Rail Riders in the world of Wakeboarding.  While the world’s best Wakeboarders have been whispering about Marc’s presence on the rails for a while now, Marc has been quietly working on becoming a force to be reckoned with. Marc broke through this year with a 2nd place finish at Wakestock Abu Dhabi, besting perennial podium placers Parks Bonifay, Aaron Rathy and JD Webb along the way. Alliance Wakeboard UK took notice and Rossiter graced the cover of the Jul/Aug 2010 issue.
“Marc drops jaws every time he grabs the handle,” says Billabong’s Wake Marketing Manager Chris Heffner. “With Billabong planning more projects like last year’s Out of the Pond, we’re excited to get Marc involved and showcase his talents to the world.”

When asked about his new sponsorship Rossiter responded, ”Wakeboarding’s been my passion for years. To be recognized by such a big brand that has so much credibility is an incredible feeling. I’m looking forward to working with everyone and I’m stoked to be part of the program!”

The ink was barely dry on the contract, when Rossiter stickered up his board and got right to work on the new quarter pipe at the Projects Wake Park. Now that the Wakeboarding Contest Season has come to end, watch for more photos and video of Marc throwing down the hammer on a Rail or Cable near you.
