We officially saw the wake season get rolling today out at Wake Games in Orlando. Qualifying rounds were done as of Thursday/Friday and today was packed with riding from over 15 different divisions. We kept an especially close eye on the last few divisions of the day (Pro Men, Jr. Pro Men, and Pro Women). While many of the usual suspects made it through to semifinals tomorrow, we were pumped to see Josh Twelker and rookie Noah Flegel advance as well. The Jr. Pro Men semifinals heats were pretty stacked but Cory Teunissen is riding at a whole different level than the rest of the field. Let’s face it, there’s a reason why Cory became the youngest rider to land a 1080 this past year at age 15. Some really solid riding also went down in Pro Women semis and we especially liked what we saw from young Nautique rider, Meagan Ethell. We shot with Meagan a couple weeks ago and judging by her freeriding, she’s will progressing and pushing the women’s side of the sport for years to come. Check the photos below from today’s event and be sure to cruise out tomorrow if you’re in the Orlando area…riding starts at 8:30am and the Pro Men Finals tips off at 2:00pm!
