Orlando, FLA (April 2, 2009) – Nautique is the proud recipient of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Health and Environmental Stewardship award. This award recognition is merely one of ten that the EPA has given in the entire marine industry to date; it also marks the first recognition the EPA has awarded to a Ski/Wakeboard boat manufacturer.

Nautique received this prestigious award for its incorporation of ACRASTRIP®, the only EPA-endorsed acetone replacement, into its lamination manufacturing processes. Through the noteworthy contributions of Ashland Distribution and the entire Nautique lamination team, the elimination of acetone from our hazardous waste stream has become a reality.

Not only does this non-flammable cleaning fluid allow Nautique to reduce its impact on its surroundings, but the use of ACRASTRIP also provides its employees with additional health benefits as they are now working in a more eco-friendly environment.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by the EPA for our outstanding commitment to producing high quality Nautique boats in an environment that is eco-friendly,” stated Correct Craft’s President/CEO Bill Yeargin. “We are equally proud that we are the first boat manufacturer within the ski and wakeboard segment to receive this esteemed recognition.”
