(October 13, 2017) – The 2017 Nautique Wake Open presented by Rockstar Energy will air on NBC Sports Network this Sunday, October 15th at 5:00 p.m. ET. Tune-in and set your DVR to catch all of the progressive action that went down behind the 4X Wakesurf and 5X Wakeboard Boat of the Year, the Super Air Nautique G23. The second stop of the Nautique Wake Series and WWA Wakeboard World Series (WBWS), this event features top riders from around the globe competing at the highest level of the sport.

An intense battle between Nautique athlete Mike Dowdy and Australia’s Harley Clifford saw mind-blowing runs that included multiple double flips, mobe 540’s and technical spin variations you won’t want to miss. After being sidelined in 2016, Clifford returned to the top of the podium for the first time, taking the 2017 Nautique Wake Open title and beginning his year-long campaign to become the Overall Nautique Wake Series and WBWS Champion.

Adding to the intensity and drama that unfolded at the Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC), the Pro Women’s division saw young Italian star Giorgia Gregorio take the win and solidify herself as one of the sport’s top athletes. Jr. Pro Men’s fan favorite Guenther Oka remained true to form, finishing first in a division full of talent with flawless style and big tricks. In the Pro Wakeskate division, Canadian James Balzer brought his brand of conditional toughness and mastery for a huge win.
