IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – (February 14, 2013) — Billabong is excited to announce JD Webb as the newest member to their Wake program.  The former Rookie of the Year and two-time Rail Rider of the Year brings his undeniable talent and creativity to the Billabong family.

JD received worldwide notoriety (and a spot on Stunt Junkies) when, in 2006, he set the World Record for longest ramp to ramp jump on a wakeboard by jumping over the Lake Eola fountain in downtown Orlando, Florida.  For surviving this feat, Orlando officially declared September 30th as JD Webb day and gave JD a key to the city.  (Let’s take it for a spin JD!)

Now sporting the double wave logo, JD will continue to focus on progressing the sport through his innovative riding behind the boat and on the craziest obstacles he can find.  The Auburndale, Florida resident is also looking forward to competing in the 2013 King of Wake series and on the Pro Wake Tour.
