The new year for us wake enthusiasts means the beginning of boat show season. Northern California plays host to some of the biggest boat shows in the country, and they are the first of the boat show season.

If you’ve got some time this weekend and are in the Northern California area, head over to Pleasanton and check out all the new wake boats (not to mention giant houseboats, crazy fast offshore boats, luxurious cabin cruiser boats, and pretty much every other kind of floating vessel you can imagine). Many wake manufacturers will also be at the boat shows and many of the pro riders will be around, too. At the Nor-Cal show you will most likely run into Gregg Necrasson, Silas Thurman and Melissa Marquardt, along with many of the local boys like Mike Schwenne and Aaron Aubrey.

So take some time this weekend to go see some cool new stuff, hang out with some cool people, and drool over all the stuff you wish you could buy, but probably can’t afford. At least you can start your Christmas wish-list early.
