The Relentless Weekend Returns to KC Watersports
Aaron Reed, Keith Lyman set to session new rails.

KC Watersports, the Midwest’s only cable park, is pleased to host the 2007 edition of the Liquid Force Wakeboard’s Relentless Weekend.  This unique event brings local riders together with the world’s finest wakeboarders and wakeskaters.  Professional wakeboarder Keith Lyman and wakeskater Aaron Reed will be on site for a weekend that everyone will remember!

Things kick off Friday May 4th at 1 PM with open riding on the cable.  Riders Lyman and Reed will be riding the cable, signing autographs and hanging out.

Saturday features a unique Team competition unlike any ever seen in wakeboarding.  Local riders will be divided in to four teams.  Each team will have a “celebrity” captain from the wakeboarding industry.  Teams will consist of local wakeboarders and wakeskaters of all skill levels.  Each local rider will select a trick that he or she would like to learn that day.  Beginners will work on beginner tricks and advanced on more difficult tricks.  During the day, the pros will work with each team member, helping them learn and perfect their chosen trick.

At the end of the day, a tournament will be held where each local rider will be judged on their trick by the Pros.  Tricks will be rated by the pros on a scale of 1 – 5.  The points each rider earns will go towards their team’s total.  Each member of the winning team will win a prize pack from Liquid Force, Toyota Trucks, Spy Optic, Xcel Wetsuits, Nautiques, Reef, and Alliance Wakeboard.

During the afternoon, a round robin paintball tournament will be held between the teams.  Points will be awarded to the winning team and will be included in the overall point total.  There will also be a paintball brawl featuring Alliance versus Liquid Force, KC Watersports versus TSR and wakeskaters versus wakeboarders.

When the sun goes down everyone will head to Curly Browns Restaurant and Bar for the post party and a showing of Liquid Force Films “The Truth” video.

Things wind up on Sunday with an open riding session.  The entry fee for Saturday’s tournament is $50.  The price includes wakeboarding, paintballing, an event tee shirt and a special KC Barbeque lunch will be provided.  A special three day pass is available for $99.  This price includes open riding on Friday, Saturday’s event, and open riding on Sunday.
